Newbury is a classic New England village, beautifully maintained with a large village green, several churches, and a grammar school with a superb reputation. The Newbury Post Office, Newbury town offices, a branch of the Wells River Savings Bank, the Tenney Memorial Library, Newbury Elementary School, and Newbury Village Store are within easy walking distance from one another.
2653 Scotch Hollow Road is located on a paved road about three miles out from the village center. The Hanover/Dartmouth College area is only 40 minutes away, and the St. Johnsbury, Vermont area is less than 30 minutes. The two closest international airports are in Burlington VT and Manchester NH.
